As a Maritimes organization concerned about the health of our coastal waters, biodiversity and resources, and climate change, you are invited to be a sponsor of this long-established, engaging and productive conference series. The Atlantic Canada Coastal and Estuarine Science Society (ACCESS) and the Bay of Fundy Ecosystem Partnership (BoFEP) are hosting a third joint conference, to be held at Mount Allison University, in Sackville, N.B, from May 19th – 22nd, 2026. This biennial event will focus on science, information, communication, coastal management, policy and decision-making in Atlantic Canada, with a particular focus on the Bay of Fundy. The Bay of Fundy is one of the most important ecosystems on the planet. It is a natural marvel and ecological wonderland with the highest tides in the world and is the site of six UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Climate change, among other environmental impacts, are a growing threat to the health of the Bay of Fundy. These impact the wellbeing of numerous industries that depend on the Bay and its associated communities. The biennial conference addresses the current and anticipated consequences of these environmental and human-made changes and presents the results of new research, especially that conducted by graduate students, fostering a new generation of scientists. The conference provides an opportunity for learning and creating beneficial partnerships, working towards a healthier Bay of Fundy, allowing for everyone to continue to share in its beauty and uniqueness. Please consider sponsoring this important event. Funds will be used to support the event and to subsidize student participation. |
